Both the Sherman Economic Development Corp. and the Denison Development Alliance boards approve incentives on Thursday for the expansion of U.S. Aviation at North Texas Regional Airport-Perrin Field. The flight school plans to add 30 new jobs and invest more than $200,000 in new equipment and facility upgrades.

Standing between the mayors of Sherman and Denison at the North Texas Regional Airport-Perrin Field on Thursday, Grayson County Judge Drue Bynum said it was a partnership of the three governments that brought U.S. Aviation to the airport.

Grayson County, Texas -- U.S. Aviation Group announced Thursday, January 17, 2013 that it will expand flight training operations, along with adding an avionics shop and maintenance shop to its operation. U.S. Aviation currently has 20 employees and anticipates adding an additional 30 workers over the next two years due to its success at North Texas Regional Airport.

April 13, 2009 North Texas Regional Airport is Ready for Take-Off
The North Texas Regional Airport will receive $6.8 million from the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division in federal stimulus funds to refurbish and improve one of its runways (17L/35R). The airport has also received a $4 million grant from the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division to refurbish taxiways and install taxiway signage. Work on both projects is expected to begin this summer.
