Our Mission & PurposeThe Grayson County Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible for determining origin, cause, and circumstances of fires that occur in the unincorporated areas of Grayson County and the surrounding cities that request mutual aid service. Our department has two arson investigators who are sworn peace officers for the state of Texas and certified through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection. The Grayson County Fire Marshal’s Office provides service to ensure fire and life safety and to reduce the risk of fire loss to the lives and property of the citizens of Grayson County. It is the duty of the Grayson County Fire Marshal’s Office to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Grayson County, in accordance with Chapter 352 of the Texas Local Government Code and County policy. It is the Fire Marshal’s office goal to help keep Grayson County a clean safe place in which to live, work, visit and raise a family.
