Judge Dennis Michael
Dennis resides in Pottsboro with his wife of 30 years, Kelli. He is a dedicated husband and father of 3 sons, 4 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Dennis has spent his life in service to the citizens of Grayson County. A lifelong Grayson County resident, Dennis graduated from Denison High School, and then obtained his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Grayson College, followed by receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
He began his law enforcement career with the Sherman Police Department and served 27 years in various capacities including patrol, criminal investigation and administration. While employed with the Sherman Police Department, he obtained his Master Peace Officer license. Following retirement from the Sherman Police Department, he began a second career as an Investigator for the Grayson County Criminal District Attorney’s Office and served three Criminal District Attorneys for 24 years in support of seeking justice for the victims of crime.
Dennis is a member of Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro and volunteers in various activities there. He has also devoted time in service to the following Grayson County agencies: Board of Directors, Preston Volunteer Emergency Services; Board of Directors, CICOST Federal Credit Union; Board of Directors and Past President, CASA of Grayson County; Councilman for the City of Pottsboro; Precinct Chair #404 Republican Party of Grayson County; Elks Lodge of Denison; and, Travis Masonic Lodge of Sherman.
In his spare time Dennis enjoys hunting and spending time with family.
